DIANA’s Journey to Safety
DIANA and her sister SELINE are Ukrainian war dogs, they were discovered abandoned on a motorway, terrified and desperate, likely left there by someone heartless. A rescue volunteer happened upon them and knew they couldn’t be left to fend for themselves.
DIANA froze in disbelief when she was picked up, as though she couldn’t believe she was finally safe. That moment marked the beginning of her new life, filled with hope for the loving home she so deserves.
DIANA’s Transformation in Foster Care
Since arriving in her foster home in UK, DIANA has made incredible progress and truly started to blossom. Her foster shares:
“DIANA has really come out of her shell during her time here. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than a cuddle. She’s also a playful little thing, often busy with her toys or happily watching the world go by from the window. She’s such a sweet, gentle dog who just needs the right family to help her shine.”
DIANA adores the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly small-to-medium dog to play and cuddle with. She’s making strides with toilet training and is reliable with puppy pads, and she’s learning that her crate is her safe, cosy space—her foster is happy to send it along with her to help her settle.
What DIANA Needs in a Home
DIANA’s ideal family will be patient and understanding, ready to support her as she continues to gain confidence and adjust to new surroundings. She’s made excellent progress with learning to be alone and will benefit from a family willing to continue this work methodically.
She’s still learning to walk on a lead and will need a gentle, encouraging approach to build her confidence in this area. With time, love, and a bit of guidance, DIANA will reward her family with endless love and joy.
DIANA is happiest when she has another friendly dog around to be her companion. Her foster says, she’s so much more comfortable with another dog. It helps her navigate the world and gives her a playmate and cuddle buddy.
Health Information
DIANA is fully healthy, not yet spayed (due to her age—spaying agreement applies), and up-to-date on all core vaccines. She’s microchipped, and all our dogs are tested for C. Brucella before traveling (owners receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
