Hero is a lovely 1 year old boy of medium size. He would like a family who will interact with him, and where there is often something going on that he can join in with or feel a part of. He would love to live with another playful dog, or with people who are at home a lot. He can live with dog savvy cats and children.
His fosterers say that he is such a perfect little boy. He's very gentle with humans and oh so very affectionate. He has settled into life in his foster home really easily. They absolutely adore him!
Hero will offer a warning grumble if the resident dogs make him jump or go near him when he's eating. Therefore, he is best to be fed separately or away from other dogs. In his previous life he probably had to protect himself and his food from predators, and so it's no wonder he's a bit defensive.
The other little thing to look out for is that he will raid the bins if left unattended. Sadly, this is another survival skill learned from living on the streets. It's just something that will need managing in the home. On the plus side, he's good at taking out the cardboard recycling... he just doesn't put it where you might want him to.
Hero mostly ignores the cats in his foster home, but might have a little chase after them if they run past him.
At night time, Hero goes to bed in his crate with no bother. On his daily walks he is gentle on the lead.
We really hope Hero finds his loving forever family soon. He so deserves to be adored!!
