Description

Loki has been our loving family dog for about a year and it has been a heartbreaking decision to rehome him. He is very friendly. (Too friendly for his own good!) He is full of life and fun and wants to play all day! He has been well loved, is chipped, is up to date with all vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and is regularly groomed. Loki has had group and 1-1 training and was socialised from a young pup but unfortunately is still reactive to other dogs. He has never shown aggression, but his high energy and boisterousness is off putting to other dogs, particularly small dogs. The vet has assured us that he will calm down with age as he is still too young to be neutered. However, he is too big and too bouncy for me to handle him on walks. Therefore he is not getting the exercise he needs for his size and breed. We are conscious of the impact this is having on his wellbeing and long term behaviour traits, so have come to the heartbreaking decision to find him a home that can give him what he needs. He is great with kids. Not good with cats and will require further training. We have ensured that he doesn't have any health conditions affecting his behaviour, are consistent with training and have tailored his diet to make sure he is not reacting to any chemicals or additives in his food. I currently make his food myself and I am happy to give you the recipe, although you may want to find what works for you. What Loki needs is time and patience which unfortunately, as a busy family, we cannot give him. He is not the right breed for our family/ We are not the right family for his breed. It's not his fault and we are devistated that it hasn't worked. We just want the best for him moving forward and are certain he will make an amazing, loving dog in the right home.
