Description
‘Hera’ 2.5 yr old girl -loves the company of cats & other dogs & deserving of a home just like her brother ‘Sparky’ found I’ve been asked for help to home this beautiful cat & canine loving dog. Despite her being someone’s home she’s at risk as you will read further down. She’s absolutely stunning & is now fully healed. She was hit by a car just under a year ago & is a prime example of why these dogs are not safe wondering the streets. Hera is living in a house with her carer though they will be know to keep her safe from now on. She also spent sometime in the government pound with her brother Sparky. The shelter isn’t like U.K. ones in so much as the dogs can be given to people with chains for example or made homeless. She went to the home of the lady who found her & he stayed in the shelter. We thank the people who got Hera to the clinic many kms away and who arranged the surgery. Now it’s about her future & what that looks like - I imagine a home either cats & a couple - maybe a single person or dogs & children - Hera is adaptable. Are you her special person? In the words of her carers friend:- This is Hera. She is 2.5 years old. Our volunteer took care of her on the street and also took care of neutering and vaccinating her. ‘On February 13, the dog was hit by a car. Hera had to be operated on because X- rays showed a diaphragmatic hernia. The shelter took the dog in and organized her surgery. After that, we intended for her to stay in the shelter until she recovered, which required Hera to live in a cage and in a closed room. Probably for this reason, she experienced great stress, refused to eat and take antibiotics and painkillers. We decided it was best to take her at home and care for her while she recovered. There are other dogs in the house who are old and docile. There are also cats. Hera gets along with all the animals, lets them eat her food. The problem is that the owner has bad neighbors. They threaten to kill Hera because she barks. Dogs bark! They already shot one of the cats. The dog is very good and social, loves to be around people, has no problem with other dogs and cats. At first we thought she would be able to live in the shelter, but apparently she has a very hard time being locked up and without contact with people. We wouldn't want to put her back on the street either, she's definitely at high risk there. Please help us find Hera a home. I am sending you pictures of her taken at the shelter 5 days after surgery. Her carer could provide pictures and video of Hera with the other dogs and cats.’ Name: ‘Hera’ Age: 2yrs 5months approximate age at time of writing 2/11/24 Coat:Smooth / short Sex:Girl Adults women / men Dog trained children Living with cats Living with dogs Will feed from your hand Handling Walking Recall though current owners must gain that trust Instant ready made companion Confident & gentle Youthful & joyous companion Bonding dog Transport outlay & home check applies.
