Cassandra’s life began in tragedy. As a tiny, helpless puppy, she was found sitting on the road beside her mother’s lifeless body, refusing to leave her side. Her mother had been struck by a car, leaving Cassandra alone and terrified in a world she barely understood.
But even in her sadness, Cassandra’s gentle spirit shone through. She clung to life, hoping someone would notice her and offer kindness. And when rescuers finally found her, she was scooped up and taken to safety.
Now, Cassandra is ready to leave her heartbreaking past behind and find the loving home she deserves.

Cassandra is a joyful, playful girl with a heart full of love and gratitude. She adores walks and the company of other dogs, thriving in playful doggy friendships. Despite her difficult start, Cassandra’s spirit is bright and full of hope.
She loves being petted and will affectionately lick your hand in gratitude, her way of saying “thank you” for the kindness she so desperately craved. While she is friendly and playful, she can be a little shy when meeting strangers in her home, but she quickly warms up once she feels safe.
Cassandra is currently living in a foster home in a city flat, where she’s proven to be clever, trainable, and housetrained. She’s good with cats, even playing gently with them, but she would be much happier with a friendly dog companion to share her days with.

Cassandra would flourish in a loving, patient home where she can feel safe and cherished. An active family who enjoys outdoor adventures would be perfect for her playful energy. Another friendly dog in the household would be a great match for her, helping her to feel secure and loved.
Children aged 8+ who are calm and understanding would be wonderful companions for her, as she may need some time to build trust in a new environment. Her new family will need to be patient, giving her space to settle and feel at home.
