Jenny is a beautiful lurcher type dog (probably a Whippet cross), about 1 year old. She's looking for a home with at least one female human who she can bond with, and needs another dog. Men in the household will need to be patient, caring and gentle with Jenny to create a bond. Jenny can live with dog-savvy children, but not cats.
Generally, Jenny is just a really chilled out girl. She is fully house-trained and knows basic commands including recall. While she loves a treat, her real motivators are praise and affection. Jenny is very affectionate once you've won her trust (men, this will just take a bit longer for you!).
This elegant lady loves running around and playing in the garden, especially with a doggy friend, so she will need a secure garden where she can do this. Jenny loves playing with toys - alone or with friends!
Jenny is brilliant on walks, and loves socialising with other dogs... especially if they'll engage in a game of chase! Whoopee!
Jenny isn't a fan of being left alone for long periods of time, and she would prefer being left for a maximum of 4 hours, if on a regular basis. However, having another dog around really helps her.
Jenny is quite wary of men, but has made great progress with her foster Dad over the Christmas break - she follows him around now. We know that she can learn to trust and find a bond with a male, so please don't discount her for this reason. A kind and patient man will continue her development and understanding that not all men are to be feared.
At night time, Jenny loves snoozing on the sofa, snuggling up to her human. She is happy to sleep in her crate overnight, but doesn't enjoy being trapped in it during the day.
This elegant lady has a delicate stomach, but is happy on a raw diet. Her foster family can advise you as necessary.
She hasn't been spayed because she hasn't had her first season yet.
