Gem is a nearly 7 year old border collie. We bought Gem as a part trained sheepdog four years ago with view to carry on with her training, however due to a drop in sheep numbers this didn’t happen. She is now wasted with us and would make someone a lovely pet.
She is a quiet, timid girl who takes time to settle into her surroundings, but she loves a fuss and would make a great companion for someone. She is great with children, other dogs and cats, she needs to go on a lead around sheep as she will try to herd them. She has always been kennelled with us, however she has been on pub walks and is very clean in her kennel so I don’t think it would take long to house train her.
She walks nicely on a lead and travels well in a car, she has been regularly wormed and flead, she is microchipped and both KC and ISDS registered, but her vaccines will need restarting as these ran out in the summer.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. We just want a lovely forever home for this girl where she will be given the time to be adored.
