We have decided to give away our lovely four and a half year old Buddy for adoption. This is due to relocation overseas. We do not believe he will enjoy the hot and humid climate. He is an entire rescue dog from Romania that has owned us for more than four years. He is an extremely lovable, romantic, very very protective dog who is always convinced that he deserves far more cuddles than what he has had!; having been a nervous and quite timid dog to start off with we would now gladly say that he has come out of it with targeted behavioural therapy, reassurance and time. The aggressive behaviour that was initially encountered is now down to simple barking for a couple of minutes when a stranger is met. Please bear this in mind when you consider adoption. Would be very keen for him to go to a home that gives him UNCONDITIONAL love which is what he longs for having suffered some degree of abuse back home as a pup. He loves to be outdoors and loves his walks. He now has excellent recall off the lead too. He thoroughly enjoys the car rides and is very well behaved. We are lead to believe that he is a Daschund/Labrador - Collie mix and therefore needs plenty of exercise. Ideally he should be considered to be in a home with no younger than teenage children, we believe even though he has been exposed to kids including a family from Ukraine with a baby we hosted for some months in 2022. He may be better off being the only dog in the home to start with as he is still quite timid in the midst of other dogs: even those much smaller than him. Would be very keen for the future care takers to meet our Buddy and spend enough time to acknowledge and accept that he will be happy wherever he goes when he leaves us.
