We unfortunately are having to re home Ernie due to a change in circumstances and problems with our other dog. We have had Ernie from a puppy and we bought him as a companion for our first dog however Ernie has been showing some increasing signs of dominance towards our first dog when it comes to food/treats/attention and toys. We have really tried to make it work but have to put our resident dog first. When Ernie is around other dogs who are not related to us he does not show any sign of aggression when playing on neutral ground. We feel he would be better suited to a home with no other dogs and no/older children as he can be very boisterous and energetic. Ernie is not your typical 'lazy' English bulldog, he is very playful with lots of energy and requires a good amount of physical and mental stimulation.
Ernie is fully house trained, his health history is good, he has very good breathing and has never had an issue with this. He does however suffer with PICA (eating things which are not supposed to be consumed) which he has had operations for in the past after swallowing items of clothing and pieces of chewed toys which he has ingested on purpose.
He is a lovely boy with lots of character and loves nothing more than thinking he is a lap dog and snuggling on the sofa with you. We are so very sad that it has come to this but our home circumstances have now changed and feel he could have a better life with the right people.
