Rehoming Our Young Cat – Quiet, Child-Free Home Needed
We’ve made the very difficult decision to look for a new home for our lovely 10-month-old cat. He came to us just from a neglected environment, and although we had high hopes, it’s become clear that our busy home with a young child isn’t the right fit for him.
He is a sweet, affectionate boy with adults and shows lots of love and comfort when it’s quiet, especially when it's just me at home. However, he becomes extremely withdrawn when our toddler is around—choosing to hide all day and avoiding any interaction.
We believe he would thrive in a calm, child-free home (older children should be fine) with someone who can give him the time, patience, and gentle love he needs to fully come out of his shell. He’s been through a lot, and he deserves a peaceful space where he feels safe.
We’re devastated, but we want to do what’s best for both him and our family. He is fully litter trained, and has no known health issues. The person I got him from said he had been neutered previously, but I would advice checking with vet whether he has.

I have a bed, scratch post, food that while last a good while, litter tray and litter as well as a carrier and some toys for him if you would like any of these.
