MEET BARNEY
Hello I’m Barney i am an incredibly lively energetic Chocolate Lab who has bundles of energy.
Unfortunately my owners have become very ill and I have become far too much for them to handle I am a very loved boy and if circumstances were different I would love to stay in my family home.
I need lots of attention, space and walks with lots of opportunities to play and unfortunately I have not had that as much I would like and therefore my parents feel i will be better off with a new family who can offer me all the things I need.
I am a very big boy and therefore I would prefer to be around older children as I get very excitable I am very soft and placid and wouldn’t hurt a fly but if I jump up I could accidentally hurt a small child but I wouldn’t do this on purpose.
My family will be very sad to see me go and therefore want me to go to a 5* home and I WILL need the following.
- Regular Walks at least x2 a day.
- lots of Space and a large Garden is a minimum of what I need.
- I need to be fed at specific times at 09:00am and 17:00pm however my routine can be adjusted.
- lots of play opportunities.
I currently have a few tricks up my sleeve such as:
- I won’t touch my food until my owners have counted down 1,2,3 go and use their hand to gesture to eat my dinner.
- If I am given a treat and this is placed across the room I will not touch this until you have given permission.
Please note I am completely house trained and will not go to the toilet in your house as I am a very good boy. I do have a cage at night as this makes me feel safe and happy however I am hoping my new family will help me feel confident enough to keep me out of my cage as I love human company.
I will come to my new family with the following.
-Food and bowls
-All my toys
-XL Cage
-Harness and Lead
-Blankets (I don’t like dog beds)
Please note my family will want updates on how I am doing once I find my new family.
Before anything is decided my parents would like photos of the outdoor space I will be receiving and meet my new owners
