πΆ MILLIE lived at Foster family with many dogs and cats.
πΆ MILLIE is a very sweet, attractive and affectionate young dog. She likes people and to be with people and is normally docile and friendly. She likes to be stroked and groomed and to have her belly rubbed. She likes exploring but doesn't try and escape from the garden or run off when out for a walk. She likes to play with toys, especially in the evening out in the garden. She will readily sit on command and shake a paw! She is very good off the lead, walking along paths, in fields and in the woods etc in the countryside, and she will regularly look back and check that you are there and come back when called. She is very friendly with people she meets and will regularly sniff them (to check they are human) as you walk along, though she is slightly nervous of other larger dogs until she gets to know them. She will happily chase and play with other dogs she feels comfortable with. If they are too much she will do a little growl and they will usually back off. She is generally fine on the lead but could so with some training as she can bite her lead when excited, and tug at her lead as you start a walk, but will stop after a while if you ignore her and reward her with treats when she stops.
However, she has 'resource guarding'. Millie will need to be with family who are experienced with dogs, who can interpret her body language and behaviour, and be able train with her to reduce and prevent her very marked resource guarding. They will need quite a lot of space. She shouldn't be a family with young children but teenagers and older children should be okay if they are aware of what not to do.
πΆ MILLIE was found tied up near garages, she been just left there... Unfortunately very common but such a sad story. MILLIE is ready to find her forever loving home.
πΆ MILLIE is active but not hyper, always happy, not pushy. Very very loving and loves cuddles and fuss. Loves people company and being nearby. Shy at start and need time to trust. She is more anxious in evenings and can guard toys or her bed.
πΆ MILLIE is very smart, loves learning new things. But the most she likes is walks being active and having attention from people.
πΆ MILLIE loves walks, loves playing with ball. She is lead trained and knows basic commands. Great on and off the lead. She is very good at home no accidents, no chewing, can be left for few hours on her own.
πΆ MILLIE is good in the car. Really loves travelling in the car.
πΆ MILLIE is not fussy with food eats dry and wet dog food.
πΆ MILLIE has no known health issues. Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Brucella C. tested.
