Mars is our incredible Red Merle Border Collie who we wish to offer to stud. Though he is unproven, he is a strong healthy border collie with a fantastic temperament who would benefit from a gentle and experienced bitch to ease him into stud work. This is reflected in the price offered.
Mars has been tested for common Border Collie ailments through the Kennel Club and he is a carrier of Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA). Therefore, a bitch owner must demonstrate that she does NOT carry CEA in order to proceed any further.
It is also expected that the bitch owner would be able to demonstrate an absence of the "Merle Gene" as you cannot breed Merle to Merle without the high likelihood of impaired puppies - Solid colour bitches only please.
As Mars was bred within my family, I have photos of his litter mates alongside him growing up as we still keep in touch with a lot of his siblings. His parents are the blue merle dog and solid sable bitch seen toward the latter photos. I will add more detail to this advert in the coming days.
