Description
‘Labrador / Hound girl ‘Lotus’ -beautiful, GENTLE, social 2.3 yr old who adores human contact’ My name is Leesa- I’m the rescuer & Karen is my volunteer. I want to start by saying that a dog is a dog - wherever they are in the world. It’s not just about whether our rescue is in the U.K. it’s about where they started out. It’s about any animal & sadly where the dice falls. It sadly centres on the location / country they are unfortunate enough to be born in & whether they benefit from the same non- discrimination & open heart that we want as humans- that we require as potential adopters & applicants. Their expectations are lower than ours if not none-existent but they deserve to be on a parr with ours. Without further ado meet ‘Lotus’ a tranquil flower that can offer you gentleness, a consistent & true desire of human company (you’ll feel wanted & needed) & an adorable social lass. Lotus is a ready made companion for a household that is either family orientated, a couple or a ‘one man & his dog’ kind of vibe. She’s so amiable, placid & adaptable and as she just wants what most of us search for in life- which is love -then it’s really only about that- whether you’re on a camping trip, need a dog sitter while you’re abroad, climbing mountains or exploring the local park -Lotus is happy to fit in & mold around you! This pretty gal with floppy hound ears isn’t defined by her past - few of them are- as they never lose the hope to belong & to be known. She was abandoned - not even someone’s 1% let alone their 100%. She was considered a worthless reject to all. Lonely, hungry & unwanted she was eventually spotted trundling along in the cold by a kind person who took her to a government shelter to be neutered. The problem is what happens next and who will make her safe? As a welfare that cares about these forgotten girls & boys it’s left to us. Anyway that’s how lotus wound up in the system. What difference does it make to us if she is in a municipality pound, a foster home or Battersea dogs home? The only thing that really signifies anything to a compassionate soul is that it’s the same dog wherever they end up. It does & will make a marked distinction for her however in the worse possible way. She’s part of a structure through no fault of hers where the policy places animals at further risk when they are either given to a bad person (homes are not policed) or forced to be homeless once more when they are put out. We can make a difference and show them the value of these stunning rescues by homing them with empathetic adopters like you & you can change her world by making her part of yours.
