I’m absolutely heartbroken to have had to make this decision, it has been difficult to make but after careful consideration and money spent on trainers I have had to make a decision to rehome my 1 year old cavapoo.
Unfortunately, she does have some resource guarding issues that can cause her to be snappy that’s going to require a lot of work and attention. She is a lovely dog but needs someone who is dedicated and has the time to be able to put the work in.
I won’t be allowing her to a home with young children, as this is partly the reason for this decision. She is not an aggressive dog by any nature however the resource guarding causes conflict between her and my child which unfortunately I am unable to make that work and it’s not a suitable environment for my dog. I really want her to be in an environment that is more suited for her which is a house without young children as she does like to be the centre of attention.
This is probably one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make so given how sensitive this is I’m going to be very particular and very picky with where she goes and I won’t allow her to go anywhere if I can’t visit the home first just out of comfort to know where she will be going.
The fee I’m asking for is not anything near what she’s worth and is purely for the purpose of avoiding any time wasters and ensure that she goes to someone that is serious about her and putting in the time. She is also still very young.
She has been toilet trained and most of the time will ask to go outside but does have a tendency to sometimes toilet in the house especially if she’s exited.
She’s an active dog who loves being outside and needs lots of stimulation.
I only want the best home for her and someone who is able to give her all of their love, time, commitment and patience.
She is a vocal dog so if you’re looking for a quiet dog she won’t be right for you.
