BULKA ( means "Bun"): a sweet 4-year-old upper-medium-sized girl. BULKA was rescued from war-torn Ukraine and came to the UK almost a year ago. She is a gentle, affectionate soul. Sadly, due to her main caretaker’s increasing work demands, Bulka now needs a new home where she can truly thrive.

💔 Rescue Story
Bulka came to the UK after being rescued during the full-scale war in Ukraine. She settled with her family and formed a lovely bond, especially with her main caregiver. Sadly, after almost a year, her family has made the difficult decision to surrender her due to a significant change in work circumstances.
"I love Bulka – she is absolutely brilliant. But I believe she needs a home where her main caretaker has the time, transport and experience for her. She deserves a more engaged, active life."
🐶 Detailed Information
Bulka is a sun-loving, couch-potato sweetheart who also enjoys her walks and the company of a playful dog. She currently lives with a small Staffie and handles dog interactions beautifully—playful but knows when to give space.
She is house-trained, sleeps well at night in the kitchen, and loves a comfy rug or spot by the window. She's affectionate in her own way—will come for cuddles and belly rubs when she feels comfortable, and gives clear signs when she wants her space.
Bulka thrives in a peaceful home with routine and gentle leadership. She’s clever, has great basic command knowledge (sit, stay, up, off), and enjoys soft toys, cardboard, and digging. She adores sunbathing and will spend hours lounging or watching the world go by.
Her current family describes her as polite, sweet-natured, and completely fuss-free with their dog sitter. With someone she can trust, she is affectionate, relaxed, and wonderfully easygoing.
🏡 Ideal Family
Bulka would do best in a structured home with a garden and ideally with another calm, playful dog for companionship. She’d be perfect for someone working part-time from home or retired, who enjoys daily walks and quiet companionship.
She’s not suited to being off-lead in open spaces just yet and prefers travel by car, so a home with transport access is essential. We believe older children who respect boundaries would be fine.
Bulka survived war and displacement. She adjusted to a new country, a new language, and a new routine—but now she needs just one more chance to find that forever place.
She doesn’t ask for much—some sun, a comfy sofa, a few cuddles, and someone she can trust. If you can offer that, you’ll have a loyal and quietly affectionate best friend for life.
