Description

I have 2 Dachshund sisters that need rehoming. Their owner is currently undergoing treatment for cancer and can no longer look after her 1 year old dogs. I cannot keep them either as I already have two dogs of my own, so she has made the unfortunate decision to rehome them. They are a year old and from the same litter. Neither of them are spayed, but they are up to date with vaccinations and are defleaed and dewormed. They are affectionate, excitable dogs and they absolutely love each other so I am looking to rehome them together. They get on well with my other dogs and people and children as well. They are both black and tan but one sister has dapple markings on her chest which is visible in the photographs. They are house-trained, however, as they are a small breed they need to use the loo more frequently than bigger dogs so I would prefer to home them to someone with a garden. One of the two sisters is quite reactive when it comes to barking, and seems to bark at knocks on the door, and other noises, but I've been told by my friend that they didn't use to do this so it could just be the stress from moving/new environment. They can be left alone for a few hours and tend to just cuddle up together and sleep. They probably need some training, so be aware of this before enquiring. I have not spent enough time with them to know to what extent. I do think they have lovely personalities and as I said, I would keep them myself but I already have two dogs of my own and cannot take on two more full time.
