Description
🐕 Milo is looking for his FOREVER home!! ♾️❤️ LEICESTER/LEICESTERSHIRE ONLY. PLEASE READ. We have been fostering beautiful Milo for the past few months due to original owner giving him up (no fault of his own) Due to personal reasons we cannot keep Milo forever as much as we’d love to! Milo is an amazing boy with a great character! He loves a fuss, loves to cuddle on the sofa, loves to play and is basically just a big puppy still! He’s a 2 year old Labrador and needs to be homed with a loving family, preferably someone who has experience of owning a dog. If you already own a dog that’s well trained and has a good temperament then we’re pretty sure Milo would just love to play, not something that can be assumed though so would need to see how he is around your dog if you already own one. Would not be suitable to be homed with a cat. Milo originally lived with 3 young children so is used to kids. But would be suited better to older kids. Milo will require someone with a lot of time and willing to give him that time & attention he deserves so preferably someone that works from home or retired. He would need to be leach trained as he pulls a lot & is very anxious when getting him on the lead, the halti head collar and harness is the best workaround for this, he doesn’t like it very much but it’s the only way to stop him pulling so much! He has no recall at all due to original owner not training him on or off the lead, but knows the basics within the home ie sit/paw/wait/down/lie down/drop. Recall Training wouldn’t be necessary as much if you have a big garden for him to run around in but it would be amazing if this could be taught so he can run around on a park or a beach one day! Milo will need a fair bit of training as when he leaves the house all focus is on everything else but the person walking him, he needs someone with a lot of patience, he needs a confident owner that he will learn to listen to and look to for guidance. He’s never had this and it’s definitely what he needs! Adopting Milo is like getting a new puppy (but without the hassle of toilet training) lol. We would still love to be apart of Milo’s life & see him sometimes during the week if possible, especially for the first few months until he settles in! Just to add also if you ever plan a weekend away or holiday etc you would always have us to take care of him so nothing to worry about there! We would also consider shared ownership! We would prefer it not to be a straight hand over and I’m sure as a dog lover you will understand that we would prefer Milo to get a bond with you first over a couple of week period, we think this way Milo will settle in a lot easier and not be a huge shock to him or make him depressed. Please get in touch if you’re interested & we will arrange a visit with him at your home 😊
