Teddy is around 10 months old and medium in size. He can live with older dog-savvy children and cats. We think that Teddy would be happier in a home where there was another dog, and in a home where he wouldn't be left alone for too long every day.
When Teddy arrived in the UK, he went straight into a home. During that time he was really coming along with his house-training, understanding that he needed to go to the back door to ask to go out. He was also learning all the basic commands, and showing great progress.
Sadly, his time in the home didn't work out because his new adopters worked full time, and they felt that he needed more company and activity during the day (not just someone popping in halfway through the day). Teddy can be left alone, but, all day every day will be too much for him.
His guardians said, "I can't speak highly enough of Teddy and we were heartbroken that it didn't work out... Teddy is a brilliant, clever dog. He's so friendly with all humans; always just wanting lots of fuss and belly rubs!" In fact, Teddy can be quite comical and assertive in his insistence that he wants more attention!
Teddy is still only a puppy and learning about the world. He loves learning and enjoys training time. He is good on walks, although he might still pull, he also fairly relaxed. Passing traffic doesn't seem to be an issue, but a loud noise might be a little bit spooky. He does like to stop to look at other dogs, but shows no aggression as he really just wants to interact with them.
His people will enjoy exercising and interacting with him. In return Teddy's forever people will benefit from a warm, loving, funny and gorgeous dog. We have no doubt that his new humans will fall in love with him immediately!
