This is not an easy post to make, I am looking to rehome my father's dog, Bluebelle.
My father passed unexpectedly last month and my mother does not have the physical strength or mobility to handle Bluebelle or take her for walks.
Bluebelle is a 2.5 year old Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, I was able to meet both parents when she was purchased as a puppy, both parents were Staffordshire bull terriers.
Bluebelle has the energy of a greyhound, she is easily excitable and loves to lick people and play. She is not aggressive, never has been but she is bad mannered and would certainly need training. She does jump up when meeting people and she is very strong. She has a lot of energy and does not tire easily, she would benefit so much from someone who could walk her and wear her out. Someone with patience and persistence to iron out bad habits.
Bluebelle is very muscular, on the larger side of most Staffordshire Bull Terriers I've seen. My dad's health was in steady decline and all his plans to take her on long walks and to dog training etc never materialised. At this point my mother and Bluebelle are limiting each other's lives as my mothers health means no walks and no physical ability to assert dominance, which Bluebelle certainly needs.
Bluebelle is a goof, very loveable, she is use to being around small children but is clumsy in her eagerness to lick them!
There is no one else who could take Bluebelle, with my own employment commitments and health issues, it would not be feasible.
This decision to rehome is ultimately about Bluebelle, she is an energetic social butterfly who deserves long walks and socialisation.
Bluebelle is micro-chipped.
All jabs are up to date.
