Description
‘Scooby’ formally known as ‘Hovis’ is a 2nd chance adoption due to his owners personal circumstances. He’s 1yrs old, castrated & vaccinated- meet ‘n’ greets welcome I had two names - one when I was in a government pound in Bulgaria with no hope though it was the closest I’d ever had to a ‘home’ & then my new name when I arrived with my U.K. owner in Blackpool around 8weeks ago. For the purpose of this appeal you can call me ‘Scooby’. I arrived underweight which is why I needed an owner & love because my rescuer was trying to get me out of my situation where opportunities are non existent unlike the U.K. Now as you can see with the one to one care of my new family I’ve gained weight & I’m happy. I’ve been told by the humans that are involved in my care that there have been tumbulant times in their lives & because of personal circumstances they needed to rehome me & then this changed again to wanting to keep me. I’m such an amazing & lovely boy that’s put not a paw wrong (their words not mine) that I think giving me up must be hard for them. Unfortunately for me however they’ve decided to finally let me go when their personal issues started to compromise my continued welfare. I don’t know anything about that because I’m just a dog but I’ve been through enough to be able to survive more & I’ll bounce back from another transition with a smile. I just need time potentially & understanding. Not trying to blow my own trumpet here but the owner describes herself as ‘heartbroken’ at loosing me & in testimony to my joyful & fantastic nature wrote this, ‘I have to clarify that Scooby doesn’t have any fault. Please, help me to give a second chance adoption for Scooby, he really deserves it, he is amazing dog.’ So this is why break the chains for dogs Bulgaria are trying to rehome me. I love other dogs, running around secure parks & have been exemplary in my toilet habits learning to go outside after only days of arriving in England, having never lived in a home before (as we dogs prefer toileting outdoors anyway with no training needed). However at this juncture I’ll let leesa from break the chains take over & give you the finer details to help me find a home. After all I can tell you that I love walks & so on but castration etc. is the stuff I’d sooner forget lol. Thank you for reading love ‘Scooby’. P.S my owner has sent a ‘day in the life of’ so you can hear more about me in her words too-(see attached). Name: Hovis/ Now ‘Scooby’ Sex: Male Age: 1yr D.O.B in passport 1.6.23 (approximate) Size around: 69/70cm paw to top head Weight: around 15-17kg in E.U In U.K. around 17-20kg Living with children Been around cats in EU Men/women House proud (toilets outside) on walks Walks the owner just needed to follow adoption agreement advice & take him off lead in enclosed parks & that did the trick Recall in enclosed parks Travelling Loves his toys Gentle Transport outlay & home check applies. RBU provided subject to contract. We practice none-discrimination policies so don’t hesitate to get in touch. Official rescue Break the chains for dogs Bulgaria Early enquiries welcome leesa McKenna Karen Johnson Words of the Owner Hovis is amazing dog and very good boy. He learns fast and follow up all basic commands and routines. Hovis is very patient and gentle to everyone. He still needs time to get confidence with water(he needs a very gentle approach and a lot of reassurance when he has to have a bath) For longer walks, Hovis needs a reassurance, as step by step he explores the word outside. At home he is calm, always ready for playtime and a lot of cuddles. At the moment his favourite toys are a few chewing bones, which he really enjoys, spending a good time. When is time for sleep, Hovis knows his bed, he comforts well and straight falls asleep. His appetite and water intake are perfect, when feeding by hand he is very gentle taking the food. Hovis learned just for few days to go for poo and wee outside, he is great with this.
