Abel is a handsome, dark and smaller built athletic male working line golden with an excellent top line and balanced conformation. He is an absolute gentleman of a dog with a heart of gold. The type of dog that makes you want to melt, so loving and always wanting to be by your side.
He is the kindest soul, not a bad bone in his body. He loves a hug, has an exceptional bombproof temperament and huge will to please.
Abel is a fast dog and excellent marker. He has been very easy to train, bright and enthusiastic yet also a lovely balance of quiet and sensible at home. Abel is outstanding with children and a perfect adult role model for young dogs, he charms anyone who meets him and often there is a queue at the local pub for an Abel hug where he is very loved!
Abel is trained as a gundog and shows all the attributes and strengths one likes to see in the breed, quiet and patient. Abel learnt to walk to heel off lead in less than two days with a clicker, he is just the type of dog that wants to do anything for you and picks up things so quickly. Fast out and back, clean pick up and superb hunting ability, he never gives up until he finds.
His extremely biddable nature, keenness and excellent off switch make the perfect combination in a working golden retriever. He is so easy to live with and loves everyone.
Abel has sired 10 litters. He is a proven, experienced and gentle stud dog.
