Blu is a nearly 2 year old - short haired border collie. She has been our family pet since around 12 weeks old.
Blu started showing some reactivity outside the home around 8 months ago and unfortunately this has progressed to in house reactivity.
Blu is the most loving, loyal, intelligent dog, she lives with myself and 4 children ages 3-16.
Blue doesn’t show any aggression towards her family but she doesn’t like unknown people and people coming into the home.
Blue needs someone with lots of love and time to give into training and re assuring her - blu will growl, snarl and lunge at unknown people so you will need to be confident in handling this type of behaviour - she is always muzzled around unknown people.
She isn’t a lost cause - we have managed to train her and walks are now more enjoyable, we have managed to get her used to some friends who visit the house, it does take time but it doable.
With our busy household there is just too much risk, with other people’s kids in and out of our home, it’s not fair on us or the dog.
