Description
We have 10 extraordinarily gorgeous long-haired German Shepherd puppies looking for their five-star forever homes.
There are 7 girls and 3 boys in the litter, with a stunning mix of colours: two cream/apricot boys, one solid black boy, one solid black girl, two silver sable girls and four cream/apricot girls. They are all strong, healthy, chunky puppies with beautiful coats and lovely temperaments. They are straight backed and all long haired.
We own both mum and dad, so the puppies can be viewed with both parents. Mum and dad are much-loved family dogs and can both be seen in the photo gallery. Dad is cream/apricot and mum is rare Isabella. Both parents have been health checked, and copies of their DNA certificates are available, showing they are clear of hereditary diseases.
Dad is Snowstorm King, KC registered and sired. This is his sixth litter, and his previous litters have all produced stunning puppies. We also have photographs of previous litters available to show.
Each puppy has been vet checked, had their first vaccination and is chipped. They all have one month’s Petplan insurance.
They have been raised on AVA dried chicken puppy food for large breeds, which they are thriving on and are well handled, loved and used to family life
We are now accepting reservations and puppy's are ready to leave from May 2nd.
I have owned German Shepherds for the last 31 years and know the breed extremely well. They are incredible dogs: loyal, intelligent, protective, affectionate and deeply bonded to their families. However, they need the right start in life. The first 18 months are especially important for building confidence, manners, social skills and emotional balance.
Without proper stimulation, training, company and careful socialisation, a German Shepherd will not become the best version of themselves. They are clever, busy dogs who need to use their brains as well as their bodies. They are also very good at finding things you never knew you had lost.
These puppies are expected to be large, long-haired German Shepherds, so we are only accepting suitable homes where people either have experience of the breed or have properly researched what German Shepherd ownership involves. They will need companionship, structure, positive training, mental stimulation, socialisation and age-appropriate exercise.
As they are big-boned puppies and growing quickly, early exercise will need to be carefully managed. They will need gentle, low-impact activity while they are developing, rather than excessive walking, jumping or high-impact play.
For the right homes, German Shepherds make the most wonderful companions, but they are not a breed to buy on impulse. We will be asking questions to make sure each puppy goes to a home that understands their needs and is ready to give them the time, structure, love and commitment they deserve.
We would love to know:
1. Experience and lifestyle:
What experience do you have with dogs, particularly German Shepherds, and how would a puppy fit into your daily routine?
2. Home environment:
Can you describe your home, garden, and where the puppy would sleep and spend most of their time?
3. Other pets:
Do you have any other pets, and how would you manage careful introductions?
4. Training and behaviour:
What approach would you take to training, socialisation, toilet training, and common puppy challenges?
5. Exercise and enrichment:
How would you provide the right balance of exercise, play, rest, and mental stimulation as the puppy grows?
6. Health and responsibility:
Are you prepared for the financial and practical responsibilities of food, insurance, vet care, grooming, and ongoing health needs?
7. Long-term commitment:
What plans do you have to care for the dog throughout its life, including if your circumstances change?
8. Matching the right puppy:
What kind of temperament and lifestyle fit are you hoping for, and are you open to being matched with the puppy best suited to you?
9. Support and communication:
Would you be happy to keep in touch, ask for advice when needed, and contact me first if you ever felt unable to keep the dog?
These are very special puppies, and we want them to go to homes where they will be treasured as part of the family.
