About Apollo:
Apollo is a gentle and affectionate older gentleman who recently arrived in the UK from a shelter in Spain. He has experienced a significant amount of stress due to the transition and is still adjusting to his new life. Unfortunately, he is not getting along with his current adopter's other male dog, causing distress to both animals.
Apollo is a loving dog who craves attention and affection, he was rescued as a stray dog in Spain and cared for by Animals Help in Xermade, Galicia. Apollo is happily living alongside a cat in his new home. He is great with new people he meets. Apollo has had no toilet incidents indoors.
Both in the shelter in Spain and during transport, Apollo has mixed well with both male and female dogs. On arrival to the UK Apollo had been selective around some other dogs, he is experiencing a big change and it can take weeks to months for a rescue dog to settle in their new home. Many rescue dogs are not used to living in a home or being walked on a lead.
Two weeks in and Apollo is more comfortable being walked on a lead, he sees other dogs, looks and continues on his way.
Apollo has been through a stressful transition after travelling from Spain, his new home will need to have the knowledge and patience to support him during this time.
If you already have dogs meet and greets would be preferred (Cardiff)
Transport to his new home can be arranged; a donation towards costs will be requested.
