Currently looking to rehome our male German shepherd x Husky, Kylo, due to no fault of his own.
We have found we have become less able to meet his needs through long walks etc due to having no time anymore and we feel it’s unfair to keep him if we can’t give him what he needs, such as mental stimulation and long walks every day. We do admit to biting off more than we can chew with his breed as first time dog owners and even though we don’t want to give him up, it is completely unfair on him to keep him at the moment.
We are hoping someone will take him on who has lots of free time & lots of love to give! As he is the most loving and caring dog ever!
We have a 2 year old boy who he is great with, but he is a hyper and boisterous dog at times, but my son loves playing with him!
He sleeps in his crate at night and is fine in there, sometimes he does whine and bark in his crate but other times he is fine.
He loves attention & loves bosies he is very much an attention orientated dog, he is obviously trained to pee and poop outside, he sits and paws etc, currently still doing some training with him and heel work practice. But he is very good at learning
Could be done with more training out on walks as he can pull and he is a strong dog as even i struggle to walk him.
Been around other family members dogs and is just very hyper and play fights etc, not sure how he is with strangers dogs, would need slowly introducing if you did have other dogs just incase, when he sees a dog he just always wants to play! Wouldn’t be suited to someone who has older dogs as he is very hyper and over the top they would probably get annoyed!
Has had monthly vet checks and everything has been perfect! Up to date with vaccines & gets wormed and flea regularly at vet check up, not neutered yet but he is microchipped.
If anyone has any questions and is interested in meeting Kylo please message me! Only 5* homes/owners as he deserves it! Preferably want someone with experience with the breed or someone who is experienced in being able to meet all his needs
