Meet Rosie – The sweetest companion looking for a loving retirement home. Rosie is a gentle, affectionate soul who is now seeking her perfect retirement home. Sadly, Rosie was rehomed by her current owner following the sad passing of her mummy, but has once again found herself in need of a new family, as her current owner is unable to care for her due to her own declining health.
This marks the second time Rosie is looking for a fresh start, having already experienced the loss of her original owner, so it's our mission to ensure Rosie spends her golden years in a comfortable, loving environment filled with cuddles, care, and plenty of attention.
While Rosie does have a bit of arthritis in her back legs, she is receiving the right treatment, including Newmove Max and CBD oil, to keep her comfortable. She also had some skin allergies in the past, but they’ve cleared up with treatment and she’s currently medication-free.
Rosie has a heart full of love and would do best in a home where she can enjoy a slower pace of life. She is used to the company of older children, small dogs and even cats. However, she can be a bit bolshy with larger dogs, likely due to not getting out much with her previous owner. With a little patience and gentle training, we believe Rosie could adapt very well to new doggie friends. This sweet little lady loves the company of people, though she can be a little unsure in large crowds – after all, she’s quite small! She has a soft spot for her garden, where she loves to bury her bones, and is content lounging in her own bed during the day. At night, she loves snuggling up with her owner. Rosie may be small, but she has a big bark, and she’s always ready to alert you to any ‘intruders’ in her territory.
Rosie still enjoys a walk, though she doesn’t venture too far these days. She also loves being wheeled around in her doggy buggy, making sure she can keep up with the action without overdoing it!
We’d love to see Rosie in a home where she can potter around at her own pace, enjoying short walks or a ride in her buggy. A secure garden would be ideal so she can enjoy the outdoors safely between her strolls.
If you think you could offer Rosie the peaceful, loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.savingandrehomingstrays.org.
(Please note a virtual home check and a £500 adoption donation are required to adopt this special little lady.)
Rosie is ready to bring love, joy, and a touch of sweetness to your life – could you be the one to give her the home she’s been waiting for?
