Description

Arthur 2.5 year old yellow Labrador retriever Fully vaccinated Not been castrated Loves children who visit - been around 7 year old, 2 year old, 1 year old and babies Is a bit wary of other dogs at first but once meeting them he’s fine - not a big fan of smaller dogs but has been on walks with beagles and labradors LOVES walks, water and balls! Very energetic and will take all attention and loves that are on offer! He does like the sound of his own voice and likes to pull out of excitement on his lead but after a good run he’s fine We rescued him at 7 months old from a house where he lived in a tiny cage all of his time other than weeing - he now hates the crate! He was fully trained as a puppy but since hitting his teenage stage he’s regressed - still trained and listens to all basic commands he knows: sit, bed, wait, lie down, eat, paw, drop etc. He doesn’t resource guard over food or toys but he has been an only dog so unsure on his reaction eating around other dogs. However, he does resource guard over things he nabs such as towels, socks, anything he can get a hold of! Although, he’s never chewed up any furniture etc! The reason we’re rehoming him is due to him not getting the attention, walks and love he deserves now we have a baby with medical needs who is under hospital care so he gets left a lot which we don’t like and neither does he! He is happy being left 4-5 hours but any longer he starts to howl and bark out of boredom. He’s such a lovely and loving dog and we are genuinely heartbroken to be making the decision, if possible we would like somewhere/someone with LOTS of land or lots of time at home to play and walk him. We would also like photo updates of him if possible? He is our first baby and it’s hard we’ve had to do this but it’s what’s best for him now x
