Marley is a really nice boy who is in foster care where he has been found to be very affectionate and extremely intelligent.
He is with us due to a relationship breakdown
He would love to be a companion to someone.
When he came he was a little anxious being left alone but now he’s quite happy being left downstairs at night and can be left for a few hours without any problem.
He’s living with children age 8 and 12 whom he loves cuddling up with
He’s very good to groom, bath etc.
He is getting along well with other dogs, he isn’t living with cats but can be cat tested if required
He travels well in the car and he loves to go walks.
We rehomed Marley to a lovely couple who have got Marley walking perfectly on a lead however after being with them for a few days he started to get very excited when seeing other dogs and barking. They said in the home he was perfect.
We have taken him back and once back in his foster home he hasn’t done this once.
He thought about it and was told firmly ‘no’, we make sure that we have his full attention whilst he is walking with us on a lead.
It was most likely a mix of anxiety and excitement, he had been taken from a home where he had lived for 4 years to come to a foster home then move to a new home so was understandably confused and this is a behaviour we frequently see.
He does not do it at all with us and anyone meeting him will be able to walk him in a park to see how you get along.
All of our animals are cared for in foster homes until they find their forever homes, this gives them time to adjust if they have lived in an outdoor environment.
All of our animals come with 7 days worth of food and 5 weeks insurance from Agria Pet Insurance, as-well as lifetime Rescue Backup. Microchip transfer is completed by us.
Adoption is subject to a home check also nd adoption contract. In some instances an initial home check may be able to be completed via video call.
Once we have received your application someone will be in touch to discuss him and arrange a home check if you would like to proceed.
If an application is not successful on this occasion we will contact you to ask if you would like to be placed on our waiting list.
