I am looking for an experienced owner to take on Clover. Clover is a female, around 6 months old (est. born July 2024). I need someone to take her on and bond her with another young gerbil. Not looking for any money for her.
I adopted a new pair of three month olds in September 24 to bond with a very elderly lone female. Bond was successful and they were housed in a 50 gallon. Unfortunately in early Jan a fight between the elderly and Clover’s sister resulted in the death of both of them. Usually declanning is easy to predict and prevent but this seemed to happen out of nowhere. Have been attempting to bond Clover with another female since then but to no success as that female has had failed bondings in the past and is happier on her own. I do not want to take on anymore gerbils currently. Clover needs a tank mate and a successful bond.
Looking for someone with gerbil experience, who is happy to take her on and provide proof of suitable set up. Preferably a 40+gallon glass tank, IKEA detolf or equivalent if split bond is successful. Can collect her from Marks Tey, Colchester, or can arrange to meet halfway depending on distance. Also happy to take her back if your bonding fails. Just want to give her a chance for a new tank mate and a happier life. She is a gorgeous siamese gerbil who is very good at climbing and is very quick and very curious. She is quite a skittish gerbil, but she is still young, so with the right owner and gerbil friend she should get more comfortable.
