Description

Coco is our chocolate miniature dachshund (most picture we have are with the others but she’s the only chocolate one in them) she’s PRA clear. This is a very sad rehome. We have had our girl her whole life she’s a beautiful dog good with people and kids. The problem is she’s not good with female dogs. And if it was all the time that would make more sense but it’s unpredictable she will be completely happy for months and months then suddenly start attacking our other girl. We have persevered for a few years as it’s not all the time it was manageable but now our golden retriever is starting to defend the other girl and I’m terrified if she becomes vicious because of it then we won’t be able to stop her due to her size. So sadly have come to the decision that she needs to be rehomed. Ideally she would be best with a couple (or single person) that either works from home or is retired as she is used to being left but with the other dogs so not really used to being truely alone. She needs to go to an only pet household (she has never attacked the boys or the cat but I would prefer there not be the risk) Other than being bad with female dogs she’s honestly a lovely little dog just wants to sit on your lap and be loved. She likes a walk we do lots of secure field walking so she can be off lead. Recall is ok but not perfect so we tend to stay on lead if not in the field. She can come with her harness and food. we don’t use beds just blankets and a sofa because the goldens like to pull the stuffing out but she does love a fluffy bed. We crate her at night with our male dachshund but I’m sure she would be equally happy on the bed or in your room as again she’s not used to being alone in the crate. We are really looking for her forever home this is not an easy rehome for us she is my sons dog and he is going to be devastated so we don’t want a maybe home that may then move her on again.
