This is Basil and he is looking for a new furever home. He is 4 years old, neutered, sweet natured, loving and a funny, goofy lad. He loves to play and will bring you his toys in the hope you will interact with him. Fetch and tug are his favourite games and he loves enrichment exercises as he is quite a clever boy and needs to be kept busy. Basil would be happiest in a quiet home somewhere in the countryside as he loves to be out exploring on long walks. He particularly enjoys running and jumping through long grass and digging at the beach! He is quiet in the house and enjoys time alone for a snooze if you need to go out for a while. Basil does lack confidence and can be easily startled by sudden movement and sensitive to loud noise, so we are looking for a quiet, calm environment for Basil to help his anxiety. He is crate trained and will take himself off to relax in his safe place, although he does enjoy a nap on the bed as well! He could live with another dog and he interacts best with females, so we would suggest female only. He is a little shy when meeting new humans and can take a little while to trust, but once he has, you are greeted with lots of tail wags and kisses. Basil is funny, loyal and playful and has so much to offer the people he trusts.
