πŸ’”πŸ˜ž not much time and Twig will need to go to kennels..... Please please share... please don't overlook πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ πŸ’™πŸΆ TWIG πŸΆπŸ’™ 🏠 LOOKING FOR LOVING EXPERIENCED HOME 🏠 πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ London, NW2 🐾 Available for meets and greets 🌟 Reduced adoption fees 🌟 RBU and post-adoption support provided 🐢 TWIG is beautiful, active, friendly boy, around 2 year old, lurcher. Large size. He has his quirks and need watching around small animas and young kids. 🐢 TWIG is neutered, housetrained, and knows how to walk on a leash, bur he does pull . He is very joyful, active, playful, and happy, still thinking he is a puppy. He adores to run and play with other dogs and even without them, enjoying every minute of his life. SIZE: Large [75 cm shoulder height/ 23 kilos] NEUTERED: Yes CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Very joyful, active, human-lover, and trustful DOGS: Very friendly and playful with other dogs, but boisterous and not suitable witg really tiny ones CATS: Not tested CHILDREN: Best suited for older kids, 9+ 🐢 TWIG first came to our Rescue in September 2022, as about 5 months pup. He is a UK dog that we agreed to help as non other wanted to help 😒 He changed few fosters until he was adopted by experiences in Greyhounds lady. He was not the easiest puppy - mouthy, jumpy... But we been receiving lovely updates until last week he was brought to our doors and we been told that he bit hard another greyhound and needs to go. He came to home and stayed in one room with 7 dogs. He was very interested to play but respected boundaries, showing no agressoion. 🐢 TWIG is currently at Foster and that's what Foster say about him: 🐾 General: Twig is a kind an affectionate dog that could be a huge success if placed in the right setting. When meeting new humans Twig shows interest and boundaries such as tail wagging and not jumping up at people. Twig is good on walks, while using a harness and though he can pull a little bit, he is showing a good response to being told to stop and wait. Twig will also sit on command and share a paw willingly. He takes treats very gently and during most interactions with adults he does understand his size and strength. Twig does have high energy levels and is very strong and speedy, however does equally love curling up on the sofa and cuddling. Twig appears to be fearful around certain things such as human feet; any swift movement leads Twig to be skittish and showing defensive signs such as growling, nipping or bearing his teeth. Twig responds as if he is likely to be kicked and this should be considered carefully so that Twig is able to understand his adult’s intentions and is able to have a safe space to move himself to if he feels he needs that. 🐾 Food: Twig eats well, and responds well to meal times though can food guard so is better to be fed away from other animals and in a quieter environment. Twig can reach high counters and does attempt to steal food from these areas, bins or human plates if the opportunity arises so Twig should continue to learn boundaries in these situations. 🐾 Toileting: Twig understands where to go to the toilet and does not mark make in the house. 🐾 Dogs: Twig can be temperamental when meeting other dogs, on walks he has greeted some dogs well and interacted safely, however there are other dogs where Twig has instigated hostility. Twig is currently living with a senior mixed breed dog and has been cohabiting well, however Twig has started to show dominating behaviours towards this dog - nipping him today for entering the house first. Twig displays an instinctive prey drive with smaller dogs and has reacted in interactions with Chihuahuas. Twig quickly tried to catch them and was unable to stop when the dogs showed distress or the adult recalled. Due to this Twig is currently muzzle training. He does not like the muzzle and can remove it with little difficulty. 🐾 Other animals: Twig does persistently chase small animals such as cats and guinea pigs. Twig appears to have little interest in birds or wildlife. 🐾 Children: Twig has started to show unsafe and dominating behaviours towards some children, in this instance a nine year old boy in his foster home. During interactions with the child Twig will show that he does not want to be near the child and again defend his space such as a place on a sofa or bed. Twig appears to have little regard for his size when it comes to the child and will headbutt or throw his snout up to knock the child. In contrast, Twig appears to have bonded well with a 14 year old girl also in the foster home, so this may be due to Twig’s previous lived experiences. πŸ’–πŸΆ Twig has a lot of potential to be a loving and happy boy in the correct setting. He needs experienced, patient people who has tine and understanding of his needs. " 🐢 TWIG gets zoomies like all dogs, and when he does he likes to run back and forth and play with his toys either with people or happily on his own! 🐢 TWIG knows how to sit and give paw, and does listen to his name and responds to you. 🐢 TWIG has lots of energy but also enjoys relaxing an down in the house. When he gets playful he can jump/bounce and due to his large size he may be too playful for little kids 🐢 TWIG is very much human-oriented and loves everyone straight away when he meets. He loves to stand, hug, and shower with affection every human. His best match is an active family that loves walks and adventures – TWIG will be the best companion for them. He loves children and wants to play with them, but taking into account his excitement and size, he will better suit a home with older kids 12+. 🐢 TWIG is fully healthy. He is neutered, has all core vaccines done, is microchipped.
