I have a breeding group from my project pens. Blue/black cockerel with 2 black and 1 blue pullets. These were hatched 2024, and have just started laying, green and pale green eggs. These are small birds, a hybrid cross between Pekin and Araucana breeds, showing the characteristics of both breeds. temperament and feathers from the Pekins, and head crest and coloured eggs from the Araucana.
Easy to keep, need a dry coop, and a covered run, with Layers pellets, and clean,fresh water. They appreciated a snack of split maize, and a cabbage hung up for them to peck. happy, healthy little birds, already started to lay.
