Stan is a 5 year old male Patterdale terrier who came to Rescue Remedies after a relationship breakdown. He had been kept inside, not walked or socialised. He came to the shelter in January 2021.
Stan is a happy friendly little dog but he will need patient owners willing to grow bond. Ideally a terrier experienced home is preferred. He is not for children or other pets so please don't apply if you have children or other pets.
Stan is fearful of new people and will not tolerate being handled by them. However his regular walkers have been so patient with him and made him realise that it is ok to be touched. All this goes to show that with time, patience and familiarity Stan is indeed ready to go to his own home. People would have to put in the groundwork in order for him to trust them as he trusts his regular walkers. He is an absolute gem of a little dog.
