On 10 January, Sabina was called out to the village of Old Dudestii by a grandfather called Mr Bordea who had found a desperate stray female dog in his yard. In the freezing cold and pouring rain, under an old mattress discarded in the yard, she had given birth to 8 pups during the previous night.
When Sabina arrived, the pups, who were under a day old, were already hypothermic. On the dash back to the clinic, one of the pups gave its last breath and sadly passed over rainbow bridge ππΎ
Once at the clinic, the vet team were able to raise the body temperature of the other seven pups with the help of their mum and saved their little lives.
Now, 11 weeks old, the pups are thriving with good food and the care of the team at the shelter and clinic.
Derek is one of the pups and will be ready to travel to his new home in May once he is fully vaccinated and old enough to travel.
He is a lovely friendly and happy pup who has been well socialised by the staff at the clinic and shelter.

βοΈ We do not rehome our dogs in flats/apartments unless ground floor with own private garden
βοΈ Children above the age of 6 years old
βοΈ A fully secure garden with at least 5β fences/boundaries is required
βοΈ If working, no more than 3 hours absence at any one time as Derek is a young pup.
