Hand reared Blue & Gold Macaw.
12 years old. Can supply his cage with with bird if required, but this may need upgrading at some point in the future. Gutted that our work schedules have changed meaning some difficult decisions have to be made so Please don't judge us. He has Never bitten us, like all of us, he can have a grumpy day which has lead to him giving a warning, but Never bitten. Give him a little time and love and he will be your new best mate! Loves shower time, this can be seen in the pics, also loves sitting on your knee and snuggling. Must have plenty of time out of his cage so Please bear this in mind.
This is Not about money, so please don't contact us if you want to try and drive down the price, in our minds, if you try to drive down the cost of the bird, you 'may' skimp on the things he needs and his welfare comes before everything. So just as a polite notice, if you try to haggle over cost, this will probably bring a very quick end to any communication. He enjoys a good diet of mixed seeds/nuts and fruit/veg. Regular showers mean his feathers are in good condition and has regular feather changes without any problems.
We have his hatching Cert and his DNA Sexing Report. This is our little boy so please expect to have a few questions put your way if you show any interest, like we have said, his welfare comes before anything.
A travel cage will be required to get him to his forever home. Please make sure it is big enough, as we will not let him be put in something to small.
Please be mindful that if you require his current cage, this is 6 foot high and while it can be dismantled, it will not fit in a car!! Sorry to have to write this, but it seems some people don’t think about it! You may need to hire a van.
An extra we have is his Java tree, this stands about 4.5 / 5 foot high and if bought with the bird we will let go for £250 extra, but we are also happy to keep a hold of this.
