Pepper is a gorgeous 3year old Doberman girl who has flown to foster in Stockport near Manchester to find her forever home
Pepper has endured a challenging past, Despite her difficult beginnings, she has remained a joyful and spirited dog who loves to play and cuddle.. She deserves a family who will shower her with affection and provide her with the care she needs.
Pepper was tested positive for leishmania but has had her treatment and is now a healthy girl who just needs her daily tablet to keep the disease dormant and also an annual blood test to check she is being given the correct dosage. Any leishmania vet care and medication could be covered by the rescue if necessary.
This is what her foster mum says
Pepper is a lovely Doberman girl who is nearly 3 years old. She is very playful with my dogs but can also be a little bossy with them. She likes to carry toys and will greet you at the door with one when you come in .She can jump up with excitement at you but we have been working on that and she does not do it as much now . She does pull on the lead so that needs more work. She shows no food aggression or toy aggression with humans but best to feed her separate from other dogs as she wouldn’t be happy to share her food with them . She is very good with adults and very affectionate. She likes to be very close to you and loves her cuddles. She hasn't met any kids whilst she been with me but I would be very surprised if she wasn't ok with kids so long as they are sensible around her I think that given the chance she may chase cats , She is fully housetrained now She has been left on her own with my dogs and was ok but will go on the hunt for food. We have been working on her impulse with food.and when she came to me she would jump up and grab food out of your hands. Now she will sit and wait for me to tell her it is ok to get her food . A home with maybe one other dog that is not too dominant would be amazing for her or as an only dog with somebody who is around most of the time
