DescriptionLooking for a forever home for this big lad. Unfortunately, I'm currently fostering him. He came from a home where there was domestic violence and had been passed around from pillar to post.
At only 9 months old he has already got some issues which will need to be handled responsibly. Behavioural training would be absolutely recommended.
Firstly, he's very protective of the home and can be aggressive towards people he doesn't know, more specifically men, but not exclusively.
He's good with men he knows, so given the right setting and time, he can definitely be a man's best friend.
He's usually fine with everyone he meets outside on walks. But strange men coming into your house, he's not ok with. He'd need to be secured if you have a workman in, for example. And introduce male friends and relatives carefully.
Secondly, he resource guards food and treats when it comes to other pets and needs to be fed separately.
We've been working with him and he's doing well with loose lead walks. He's muzzle trained and happily has it on for a treat and a walk.
He knows sit, stay and lay down, and "muzzle" (puts face in muzzle). Fully potty trained. He is so smart but a little stubborn. He would strongly benefit from someone who's a confident strong and experienced leader/trainer.
He's already 38 kilos to get an idea of his size.
I've been told he's got mastiff, Staf bull terrier, boxer, korso and gt dane. So, he's quite a mix.
He will come with a muzzle from muzzle movement, short lead, harness, collar, toys and his favorite comfort bed/blanket and Food. And a 42" crate if you'd like it.
He's been castrated on the 23 of August and is fully recovered from surgery.
He loves to cuddle and snuggle, his favorite game is tug of war, which he'll try to get you and any dogs to play with him all throughout the day. Though he does tire quickly, being so young, he's also got plenty of puppy energy and loves to play.
I'm asking for £100 adoption fee, although the fee could be reduced for the right person.
I won't let him go to just anyone. Anyone interested will be vetted and home checked. Having experience with another giant breed is essential. Having another confident large/giant dog is fine. He's good with male and female canine friends.
Fenced garden is a must.
