IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
‼️ Large Breed Alert:
Cane Corso dogs grow to be large and powerful, typically weighing 90–110 pounds (41–50 kg) and standing 23–28 inches (58–71 cm) tall at the withers. This breed is strong, headstrong, and requires experienced handling.
‼️ Experienced Owners Only:
These puppies will NOT be rehomed to first-time dog owners. Cane Corso dogs are known for their strength, intelligence, and confidence. Without proper and positive no force/no alpha training and socialisation, they can develop behavioral issues that are difficult to correct.
COMMITMENT TO TRAINING & SOCIALISATION
Training and early socialisation must begin now, between 3–4 months of age and not later (puppy group classes). This is a critical window for shaping their behavior and temperament.
Why Early Training Matters:
A puppy’s brain is like a sponge during their early months. Proper training and positive reinforcement during this time lay the foundation for a well-behaved, balanced adult dog. By the time they are 10–12 months old, many bad habits become ingrained and nearly impossible to undo.
The Rewards of Early Training:
Investing in consistent, positive reinforcement training during the first year ensures you’ll have a devoted, well-mannered companion for life. It’s a short but vital period that cannot be skipped.
Commitment to Neutering:
These puppies must be neutered between 12–18 months of age to support their health and help manage behavioral tendencies as they mature.
The Right Home for a Cane Corso Puppy
Experienced, Responsible Owners:
Applicants must have previous experience with large breeds.
Financial Commitment:
Large breeds cost more to feed, insure, and care for than average-sized dogs.
Family Fit:
These puppies can live with other dogs, cats, and children. However, we don’t recommend homing a male Cane Corso with a resident male dog due to potential dominance issues.
Home Environment:
You must have the time, patience, and dedication to focus on their training and needs during this crucial first year.
Why Choose a Cane Corso?
With the right upbringing, Cane Corso dogs are loyal, loving, and devoted companions. They thrive in homes where their intelligence and strength are respected, and their emotional needs are met with patience and love.
🐾 Let’s help these precious pups find the experienced, loving homes they need to grow into the amazing dogs they are destined to be. 🐾
