It is with great sadness that we have made the decision to rehome our beloved family dog, due to a change in family circumstances.
We have not taken this decision lightly and are looking for a very specific type of owner for our dog. Please only respond if you have previous experience of owning a dog, as it is a serious commitment and we wish for George to go to a stable forever home.
George is 6 years old and is very well trained. He has been neutered and went to socialisation classes as a puppy. He has excellent recall (George or Georgie) and responds to, up, down, off, down, sit and wait. We have three sons ranging from 1-9 and he is very good with children.
George is a Velcro dog and though he can stay 4 hours alone in the house, he does prefer company. He can walk off lead and requires 1-2 active walks a day. He loves his ball the best!
We are looking for an older, active couple or individual for our dog, either with no children or older children (12+), someone with access to green spaces and a home that can accommodate him well (no flats please). He does require grooming every 6 weeks and in the winter can be wet and muddy, so please consider whether you have the space to accommodate him when he is wet. He has not grown up with other dogs in the house and we do not think a household with a cat or other dogs will be a good fit for him.
Please only respond if you are serious and we can arrange a visit / walk and then talk about his rehoming. We do not wish to have contact with George, but an occasional update would be welcome for us and our children.
