These quail chicks are healthy and robust. Their parents are all jumbo birds which means that at adulthood they weigh between 350 and 450grams. Quail are unique in that they are fully mature and start laying eggs of their own when they reach 6 weeks old.
Quail hens will lay approximately 300 of their highly nutritious, beautiful eggs each year as long as they have enough light food, water and safety.
Quail can be kept in aviaries with other birds as they are ground birds and clean up the seeds that get dropped on the ground.
These quail have been bred from my own breeding groups, and I am registered as a Quail keeper with the government.
Because Quail are social birds you need to remember that they don't like to be kept alone and I will only sell a minimum of three birds as they do need each other for company.
Once they are three weeks old, their sex will become obvious and your price will change.
