Winnie is a very friendly blue and tan Miniature Dachshund.
She is a very friendly girl who just wants to be loved and cuddled.
She was surrendered to us as she was one of several dachshunds and the others were picking on her.
We were advised that she chewed if left alone at all but she has not once chewed in her foster home.
We were advised that she did excited wees but again the only time that we have seen her do that is if she’s nervous.
She’s settled really well into her foster home and it seems her issues were caused by being bullied by other dachshunds as the nervous wees are now rare. Her coat has also improved in her new environment where she isn’t stressed.
She enjoys company and we feel she would be happy with another small dog.
She’s being left in the kitchen or utility for up to 4 hours and has not once barked nor chewed and there have been dog beds and furniture that she’s had every opportunity to chew.
She is fine with outdoor cats and she’s living with children in her foster home whom she loves.
She has no known health issues and even when she’s been a bit unsure has never once shown any sign of fear related aggression.
You couldn’t find a happier girl who loves human company and cuddles.
She loves walks and is good on a lead.
Winnie would like a home with someone who has lots of time to spend with her.
All of our animals are cared for in foster homes until they find their forever homes, this gives them time to adjust if they have lived in an outdoor environment.
All of our animals come with 7 days worth of food and 5 weeks insurance from Agria Pet Insurance, as-well as lifetime Rescue Backup. Microchip transfer is completed by us.
Adoption is subject to a home check and adoption contract. In some instances an initial home check may be able to be completed via video call.
