My partner and I are moving in together and unfortunately Koba doesn’t get along with other dogs so we can’t safely house our dogs together.
Koba is very inquisitive, boisterous, excitable, loving and playful. He is fantastic in the house, loves to play fetch, tug of war and having cuddles on the sofa.
Koba is a reactive dog, this is mainly due to him being attacked by another dog off lead whilst out on a walk. This has caused him to be anxious whilst out on walks, he will stop and stare. He does show aggression towards all male dog and will lunge, growl and bark.
He will lunge towards bitches and towards people, however he doesn’t do this with aggression, he wants to play which does put people off.
He has been introduced on the lead to 4 separate bitches and has been very excitable but calmed down and enjoyed their walks together.
He does jump up strangers/visitors to the house and become very boisterous, he does calm down and will then want to spend hours on their lap being fussed.
Koba is house trained and is left alone for long periods of time whilst I’m at work. Koba does pull on the lead, he is very good in the car and loves an adventure.
Koba doesn’t mix with other animals as he will chase them and is only let off lead in an enclosed field. Where it is safe for him to be let off. Koba hasn’t been introduced to any children and I advise he isn’t re homed to a household with children under the age of 16 due to him jumping up.
Koba has the run of downstairs and he sleeps either on the sofa or on his bed in the kitchen.
He loves his walks and being out in the woods or playing fetch with his favourite squeaky tennis balls!
I would love for someone to come forward and offer Koba a home for life. He would benefit from a home with no children, someone who has experience with boisterous dogs and has time to work with him and give him the training he needs to correct his behaviour issues. He can be a handful but he is full of character and would make anyone fall in love with him.
Anyone interested in re homing Koba would be vetted by myself and my partner, with multiple introductions required before I would hand him over so you can both get used to each other and understand his character. If you can provide him the suitable home the any deposit/fee would be refunded and waved.
