Foster Update
Her foster family shares:
"It’s been an absolute pleasure fostering Sydney. Watching her grow in confidence and thrive has been so rewarding. She wasn’t sure when she first arrived and would bark at us out of uncertainty, but with slow introductions, patience, and kindness, she began coming to us for cuddles. Now, she’s the happiest dog—fun, loving, playful, active, and bursting with energy!"
SYDNEY is a smart and clever girl who loves engaging with puzzle toys, stuffed Kongs, and long-lasting treats. She’s housetrained, sleeps well at night, and can be left alone for short periods without issue. She enjoys quiet walks and would thrive in a calm, peaceful environment with a secure garden.
While SYDNEY adores her humans, she would prefer to be the only dog in her home, as she loves soaking up all the attention herself. Her barking can sometimes seem intimidating, but it’s mostly due to her uncertainty, and she quickly warms up with a gentle approach.
"Dusha is a sweetheart with a calm and affectionate nature. Though she can be shy with new people, she’s eager to build trust and quickly comes for cuddles. She loves playing with toys, fetching sticks, and snuggling up on the sofa."
DUSHA enjoys the simple joys of life, from zooming around the garden with her long legs to lounging by her human's side. While she can be unsure of new surroundings and people at first, she blossoms with patience and love.
She’s housetrained, crate-trained, and perfectly happy to be left alone for short periods. Her foster family notes:
"She’s a clever girl who knows basic commands like ‘sit’ and is working on her leash skills. She’s strong on the lead initially but engages well with encouragement."
She would be a perfect match for a single person or a family willing to give her the time and patience she needs to build trust and settle into her new life. Another friendly dog in the home could help her navigate the world and provide companionship.
SYDNEY would be best suited to a calm, adult-only home or a family with older kids who can provide her with the understanding and time she needs to feel secure. A quiet, rural, or suburban environment with a secure garden would allow her to thrive. She needs a family who can offer her plenty of love, mental stimulation, and peaceful walks to help her continue to grow in confidence.
SYDNEY deserves a forever home where she can feel safe and cherished. Her foster family says:
"Sydney truly deserves a loving forever home. With her big heart and playful spirit, she will bring so much joy and loyalty to the right family."
