Stunning litter of first generation (F1) cockapoo pups, ready for their new homes from 20th April. They are a very sweet litter who are looking for loving homes where they will become part of the family. They will be vet checked, microchipped, wormed every two weeks, flead if required, and have their first vaccination before leaving us. If the colour or gender you are looking for isn't available in this litter don't hesitate to get in touch to hear about upcoming litters.
I am a very experienced and knowledgeable breeder. I am also licensed which means I am regularly inspected and regulated by the local authority and a breeding specialist vet. This is now a legal requirement for anyone selling puppies, even if it is just one! Even if you don't choose to buy a puppy from me please ensure you buy from a licensed breeder and support those of us doing things legally and conscientiously.
The mum and dad to my puppies are my family, and have the most wonderful, loving, friendly temperaments. I think it is so important for owners to meet both the mother, and the father, of their puppy as temperament never falls far from the tree. These days, now more than ever, there is a huge rise in problems such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, and biting, and I strongly believe this is through bad breeding. My dogs lead a very enriched and fulfilled life with me, they are incredibly happy and healthy, which in turn produces happy, healthy, well-rounded puppies who go on to complete families. I have had wonderful feedback from my puppy families over the years and I am very proud of the puppies I produce.
I breed first generation F1 cockapoos as they are the best and healthiest hybrid in terms of genetic diseases, size, and coat. There is 0% inbreeding, and through DNA testing I know my puppies can never suffer from any genetic disorders, most importantly PRA. Paperwork is always available to see when you come to visit for Kennel Club family trees and DNA testing.
My cockapoos are always from a miniature poodle, as this is the most compatible and genetically similar size for both the spaniel and the poodle. They are both incredibly human orientated breeds, that are intelligent, energetic and eager to please, which makes them a joy to train and rewarding to be around!
I produce breed standard colours which are red, apricot/golden, chocolate/liver, black, black and white, chocolate/liver and white, blue roan, chocolate/liver roan, red and white, and in the future will have tri coloured, black and tan, chocolate/liver and tan.
Merle does not naturally occur in cockers OR poodles therefore is not a safe colour to breed with as other breeds have been introduced in the past in order the get the colour, which can introduce health problems that will not be detected when testing for cocker or poodle genetic disorders, and also different temperament characteristics.
Cockapoos make excellent family pets. The puppy stage is hard work, as with any puppy, but creating boundaries and a routine from the beginning pays dividends. They thrive on mental stimulation, trick training and enrichment such as snuffle mats, stuffed Kong's, 'find it' games, agility etc. They will love their walks and zoomies off lead. They do require regular grooming in order to prevent matting in the coat which is the result of them not moulting! How often they are washed, blow dried and brushed, and how long you like their teddy bear coat to be, will denote how often they require professional grooming. My pups have the gorgeous wavy teddy bear coats typical of the classic cockapoo.
