Hello,
My beautiful parrot is looking for a new home. We’re looking for someone who has knowledge/strong interest in parrots and are willing to put in the work to give this guy a great life. He can be chatty, he barks like a dog, he’s fairly quiet compared to your usual Amazon parrot as in he doesn’t scream/screech, but that of course can change with a new environment. He is curious and looooves watching YouTube vids of other parrots hehe.
He is very gentle with other parrots, as a matter of fact, he has been living with smaller species such as budgies, parrotlet and cockatiel and has been nothing but lovely.
He knows commands like step up and wave. He will gently eat treats out of your hand. However, his beak is sharp and strong and he can (and probably will) bite. He needs someone who is not scared and can work with him on changing this behaviour. He may get territorial towards humans if he has another bird in his company.
If you’re looking for a buddy, he absolutely can be one, but he would need you to be there and keep him company everyday. He is very smart and he will get lonely if left alone for hours. He likes to come and sit nearby or just explore the surroundings. He doesn’t fly much but he will fly if there’s a particular spot he wants to get to. He will also say goodnight to you when he sees you leaving the house or when he’s ready to sleep and it’s time for you to put him in his cage..
Absolutely NO breeders. I will not give him to just anyone, please message with more info if your experience with parrots and what kind of home he’d be going to :)
He also has a large cage and a java tree, he is used to living outside the cage and only goes in when he’s ready to sleep. He spends 99% of his day on the tree and we’d hope that this could continue. He doesn’t really leave his area unless for food/watching tv :)
To clarify: Java tree, portable stand and a large cage (can choose 1 out of 2 that I have) included.
P.s. his friends from the last photo are also looking for a home…
