DescriptionWe are trying to find the right home for our lovely young boy sprollie, called Nori.
We had a baby one month ago and realised that we just dont have the time to give Nori the attention he needs. He is the sweetest dog, and we love him dearly - so this has been an extremely difficult decision for us to make.
Nori is almost 1 year old and we have had him from a pup. His mother is a springer spaniel, and father a working border collie. We got him from a farm near Redruth.
Nori has been so great since we got him, and has a really lovely character. He learned the rules of the house very quickly and is completely house trained. He is very affectionate and wants to be involved in everything going on at all times. He wants to lie at your feet or on your lap. Being a smart breed, he was quick to learn commands, and he very rarely breaks any rules inside. He adapts to the atmosphere inside, so if you are sitting quietly reading a book, or working, he will quite happily have a long snooze - but if you are up and about he will pick up your energy. He can be happily left at home with his toys - but we've never left him for more than about 4 hrs.
As you'd expect from a breed like a sprollie, he is FULL of energy, and needs two good walks a day, as well as indoor toys and stimulation. He can sometimes explode with excitement if he's near the beach or sees exciting things happening, like balls being thrown and other dogs running on a beach - but it's still very puppy-like behaviour and we have been training him to be calm as much as possible.
He can walk well on a lead, but his training should be maintained, especially now he is at his rebellious 'teenage' stage. His recall is fine, so long as there is nothing too exciting that trumps him coming back - it needs more work still. I was going to start training him with a whistle.
He is a kind natured, VERY friendly dog - we have never ever seen him be aggressive to another animal or to a human. He's fine around kids, but if they hype him up, he can get over stimulated sometimes (he responds to people's energy). He is gentle and sweet with our newborn.
He'd suit a family or owner that already have dogs, or have children who would love to give Nori the attention and play he needs.
We want to make sure he goes to the right person, who will give him the attention and outdoorsy life he needs. As said, we are gutted to have to rehome, but our hands are just too full with a new born baby to give him all he needs. We'd love to properly meet any potential new owners to make sure they are right for him.
He's a wonderful pooch!
Price is negotiable, we are more concerned with finding the right new owner. We have all kinds of leads, collars and dog beds for him.
Im happy to talk on the phone to tell you more about him, before you meet him.
***update - we are almost matched with someone who could be a great match for Nori. If anything changes I will note on the advert***
