We welcomed Red, a beautiful pure bred Australian Kelpie, into our home in March. She’s around 2 years old now and came to us from a farm in North Yorkshire. Red has been a wonderful pet, and we have absolutely loved having her as part of our family.
She is fully house trained and previously trained as a working sheep dog. We got her spayed a few months ago and she is microchipped and vaccinated and all up to date on her worming and flee pills.
However, she seems uncomfortable around small children, likely due to not being raised with them, and can get quite nervous in their presence. For this reason, we’ve made the tough decision to find her a new home where she can thrive without the stress of young kids.
Red is incredibly loving, gentle, and full of energy, and this has been a very hard decision for us. But we feel it’s the best choice to ensure both our children’s safety and her happiness. We are looking for a home where she will receive the love and attention she truly deserves.
