Ari is a beautiful, energetic staffy cross bitch who we rescued exactly a year ago. She was pretty rough around the edges when we first got her (at around 18 months) but she has come on leaps and bounds in that time. She is quite clever, keen to learn and will pick up most things quickly in exchange for cheese or treats! She walks nicely on a lead (we live quite rurally, she is a bit pully with new or built up places) is immaculately toilet trained and has fairly decent recall. She is however, occasionally and randomly dog aggressive with smaller dogs. She leaves very happily with an old male chihuahua and is fine with dogs she knows so it isn’t unmanageable, but does have to be considered. We have 2 toddlers in the house and she has never been anything other than patient and gentle with them. She has no issues with food guarding or anything similar. She has also been spayed. Her papers say she is a staffy but she is a bit larger than most staffies so is likely crossed with another bully of some description (nowhere near XL territory). We aren’t desperate to get rid of her by any stretch but have an unexpected surprise coming (of the 2 legged variety) and time may end up being tight. Will only consider the best homes for her, she needs someone experienced with bull breeds to help continue her progress. She comes to work with me most days but can happily be left alone for reasonable periods. We walk twice a day and she loves the beach (she is also surprisingly adept in the water) so someone who is physically fit and access to wide open spaces would be ideal too.
